The books are full of great menu ideas from many of our 4th grade Palisades families, staff, and teachers. There's even a recipe from Mr. Scholl! This is a fundraiser to support our 4th grade field trip fund. Thank you for your omgoing support for this important 4th grade fundraiser. Transitional Kindergarten Program Cut from the State BudgetGovernor Brown announced hispreliminary 2012-13 budget on January 5, 2012, earlier than expected. Thepreliminary budget is posted on the Governor’s website at http://gov.ca.gov/home.php.Sadly, it does not provide funding for the new Transitional Kindergartenprogram, as previously planned. Due tothe fact that the preliminary budget proposes that Transitional Kindergartenwill no longer be funded by the state, the District will be canceling theparent meeting on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Please check theDistrict’s website at www.capousd.org where information willbe posted as it becomes available. The entry cut-off date for Kindergarten forthe 2012-13 school year will remain at November 1. Transitional Kindergarten Program– Letter from Pamela Watkins, Director, Elementary & Early ChildhoodPrograms Parents, GovernorBrown announced his preliminary 2012-2013 budget on January 5, 2012, earlierthan expected. The preliminary budget is posted on the Governor’swebsite at http://gov.ca.gov/home.php. The budget summary states that this is the time for reinvestment andreform, not for program expansions. Sadly, it does not provide fundingfor the new Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program, as previouslyplanned.
